Did you know that your relationship is like a plant? 🌱 You have to water it and make sure it's getting sunlight in order for it to stay healthy and grow.
Life is so busy. There are so many demands that need to be addressed. On top of that, there is the ever present media and social media distraction, pulling away whatever attention we have left. 👩🏽💻💻🎮📱
Your green, leafy plant will sit there for a long time, dry and in the shade, looking great, until one day, you notice it's not. You wonder, what happened? How can there be so many droopy yellow leaves?🍂 There are even some dead fallen leaves. You have to nurture it back to health! That doesn't happen in a few days or with a few waterings and some plant food. It takes time to invest in your plant, to remember it every day, before it can thrive again.
This exact process happens so often in relationships. You're busy with life and then one day you realize that you're fighting with your partner all the time, that they irritate you so much, you rather keep your distance than become aggravated and fight again.💔 You used to talk to each other all the time. You used to laugh together. You used to be intimate much more. How did you get to this place?
Unfortunately, relationships are so much more complex than plants. It takes longer for a relationship to wilt, and it also takes longer to revive it. It is an intricate process to restore hope, strengthen your relationship's foundation, and learn new behaviors to replace the ones that aren't working. Especially when you're in it. It can feel overwhelming and hopeless.
The good news?
It is NOT hopeless! It can be fixed! ❤️🩹
It's beneficial to have an outside, impartial trained professional guide you through this process. 🙋🏽♀️ Combine that with a commitment to stick with the repair process, and you're on your way!
